This 6-week program is designed for kids who are interested in S.T.E.A.M (science, technology, engineering, art, math). Each week kids will get 90 minutes of hands-on learning and tech skills. The lessons incorporate activities and tech that can then be used after the class at home, where your child can explore more at their own pace. Your child might just be the next great engineer, artist, or scientist!

Week 1: Build a Computer – Students will learn about all the parts of a computer and then watch as we build a PC from the ground up!  Kids will get hands-on experience with each component and learn how they interact to make the system function.  Then, students will move over to the PC’s and use a PC Build Simulator where they learn to diagnose, fix and build PCs. The simulator has real-world licensed components and is a comprehensive hardware and software simulation, so students can plan and bring their ultimate PC to life.

Week 2: Minecraft Education Edition: Build a Better Room – Design your ideal bedroom that includes at least one way to get exercise indoors.  Kids get to flex their creativity and maybe their body as well. This challenge is to design an ideal bedroom that includes at least one way to get exercise indoors. Slime block bed bouncing? Indoor balloon archery range? Racing pig track? Let your imagination run free.

Week 3:  Code Combat – With our unique approach, students embrace learning as they play a game to learn and write code from the very start of their adventure in Code Combat.  The game is designed for beginners, teaching true Python, JavaScript, and C++ programming languages using human, beginner-friendly terms.  Students can then continue their Code Combat journey from home at their own pace to learn skills that will last a lifetime.

Week 4: Digital Design – Students will learn to use Canva, a graphic design platform, used to create social media graphics, presentations, posters, documents and other visual content. After class, they can then choose to take their design and print them directly onto a shirt, bag, notebook, and more.  Students can then explore Conva for free from home at their own pace and learn skills that will help them excel in many ways.

Week 5: Drones – Come fly with us!  That’s right, students will get their chance to learn about and pilot a drone.  Today, drones are used for lots of jobs.  During this session we will learn about what they do, how they are used, and what jobs are out there for drone operators.  Students will use our drone simulators on PCs and in Virtual Reality to prepare themselves so they are ready for their flight.  So Much Fun!

Week 6: Esports Tournament – For our final session we will have a fun and competitive esports tournament!  Kids love to compete in a fun game they choose and parents are welcome to attend and cheer them on.  Fun Uptime prizes will be awarded at the end!
